About the role:
As a Senior Accountant at WMS, you will provide key support to the team, manage clients and ensure client work is delivered accurately, effectively and in a professional manner. The role is in our P2 Team, which is led by leading tax expert Mr. Stephen Holmes and his Senior Managers Caely Ray and Vanessa Hildebrandt, who have worked with Steve for 13 and 21 years, respectively.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, review and analyse financial statements for companies, trusts and partnerships.
- Review and finalise tax compliance work prepared by other accountants.
- Manage workflow and build relationships with a client base.
- Prepare complex tax work, including Div7A, CGT and FBT.
- Manage BAS preparations and lodgements.
- Participate in the knowledge sharing and development of undergraduates, graduates and accountants.
About you:
- You are a degree qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, ideally in a public practice tax and advisory role.
- Ability to manage your time and work independently.
- You have superior attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate professionally.
- Strong Australian technical tax knowledge.
