Senior Business Analyst – 6 Months+ Contract – Government Site

We are a Perth based ICT Consultancy who works with multiple Government Departments.

Due to a large upcoming ICT Implementation project, we are looking to hire an experienced BA on an initial 6-month contract with likely extension. This project could be for 18 months + and will involve engaging with multiple stakeholders and various vendors to deliver a new IT system implementation project. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced BA with WA government industry experience and previous experience of writing Business Cases, RFI’s, assisting with tender processes and vendor engagement. This is working on the implementation of a new cloud-based software solution.

Main Responsibilities :

• Working with the technical team and users to develop the Business case in relation to the new Software solutions.
• Establish relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure a good working knowledge of the business requirements and information gathering in relation to the current solutions in place.
• Gather requirements, pain points, and expectations regarding the new system.
• Continuous consultation with all the project leads, subject matter experts (SME) and all relevant stakeholders during development of the Business case.
• Review and evaluate the existing system to establish functionalities, limitations and challenges.
• Produce functional specifications.
• Assist with the design of the RFI to go to open market tender for potential Software Solution Vendors.
• Assist with the tender and selection process of the best solution.
• Work closely with the vendor, internal business stakeholders and ICT team to manage the end-to-end system implementation process, including data migration.
• Minimum of 6 years as an ICT Business Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of Business Analysis methodologies.
• Experience writing business requirement documents using formal methodologies.
• Experience writing business cases.
• Experience in business process mapping (current and future state).
• Demonstrated experience in successfully capturing business requirements.
• Previous experience of RFI’s and working with external vendors and tender evaluations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, and the ability to drive deliverables to timely completion.
• Excellent skills in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and/or Visio software to present concepts in clear diagrammatic, tabular or graphical formats.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Agile principles.
• Certification in business analysis methodologies or demonstrated equivalent also desirable.
• Any previous exposure to HR, Health and Safety or Incident management Software Systems highly desirable.

• An initial 6 Month contract up-front with a potential further 12 Month extensions.

• Pay rate circa $95 to $115 per hour (inclusive of super) but negotiable.
