About the Opportunity
Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is proud to support a local energy provider based in Brisbane to recruit a Senior Business Analyst (Finance) to provide improvements to the business\’s existing financial systems and reporting tools.
This role is offered on a 9-month casual-based contract with 2 days working from home.
Your next role:
As the Senior Business Analyst (Finance), you will be responsible for overhauling their financial systems utilizing reporting tools such as PowerBI to improve the overall quality of reporting and analysis for the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within finance, IT, management, and SMEs.
- Create detailed process maps for visualization of current workflows, identifying inefficiencies.
- Conduct gap analysis of current financial reporting processes and systems.
- Data management, system evaluation, and automation.
- Provide training and support to finance team members, creating detailed documentation for business cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
About you:
- A minimum of 8 years\‘ experience in similar roles.
- Previous experience in a complex organization, energy, or heavy resources would be a significant advantage.
- Proven experience in leading continuous improvement projects within the finance space such as ERP, PPM, and budgeting.
- Degree qualified in IT, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or similar.
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
