About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact projects, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in presenting meaningful insights to our corporate clients. This is a pivotal leadership position where you will manage a portfolio of projects, mentor a small team of Project Support Officers, and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.

As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of our community engagement and research initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams, contractors, and global partners. Your responsibilities will extend beyond project logistics to include high-level reporting, deriving insights from complex datasets, and presenting results to corporate clients in a way that inspires action.

Key responsibilities

Leadership and team management:

1. Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of Project Support Officers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment while encouraging professional growth through mentorship, constructive feedback, and skill development opportunities.
2. Set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure your team delivers projects on time and to a high standard.

Project management:

1. Oversee the logistical management of diverse projects in Australia and around the world, ensuring alignment with customer needs and timelines.
2. Coordinate and manage external contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
3. Build and nurture strong client relationships, drive engagement through tailored resources and navigate complex environments to deliver measurable success and client satisfaction.

Survey platform activities:

1. Lead the design, testing, and deployment of surveys in collaboration with the research team and customers.
2. Manage CRM systems, including distribution lists, unsubscribe processes, and survey communications.

Data insights and reporting:

1. Write and review comprehensive client reports, translating complex data into actionable insights.
2. Ensure all reporting aligns with Voconiq’s commitment to accuracy, clarity, and impact.
3. Present findings to corporate clients, articulating key trends and their implications for business and community outcomes.

Marketing and communications:

1. Advise on and execute community engagement strategies that align with project goals.
2. Monitor and optimize survey recruitment efforts to ensure representation of diverse population groups.
3. Oversee the development of communication collateral, ensuring alignment with the Voconiq brand.

What you bring

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
2. 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
3. Proven ability to derive and present actionable insights from complex data.
4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation.
5. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams.
6. Proficiency with project management tools and CRM systems.
7. A strategic mindset, with the ability to efficiently prioritise not only your own tasks but also coordinate and align the priorities of team members to ensure smooth project execution and achievement of organisational goals in a fast-paced work environment.
8. Ability to adapt quickly to changing project scopes and client needs while focusing on delivering high-quality outcomes.
9. Flexibility to work with clients and teams across multiple time zones, ensuring seamless collaboration and responsiveness to global project requirements.
10. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and collaborative working environment.
11. Multilingual skills are a bonus but not required.
