About the role
As a Senior Project Manager within our Transformation team, you will be accountable for the effective delivery of projects and programs, ensuring they meet budgetary, time, scope, and quality constraints as defined by the Project Sponsor. You will establish, design, and implement programs and projects while adhering to TMBL\’s program and project delivery governance standards. Your role will involve overseeing the successful execution of programs or projects by monitoring expenditure, managing dependencies, and mitigating risks to achieve optimal outcomes. This position demands a dynamic individual with strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective program/project governance structures.
- Manage projects according to TMBL project management methodology.
- Act as the communications conduit to executive sponsors and the Program steering committee.
- Prepare and deliver program/project status reports.
- Lead the creation of risk analysis and mitigation plans.
- Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify and manage dependencies and interfaces between projects.
- Establish and manage platforms across various project management tools.
- Track and monitor program/project budgets.
- Collaborate with finance teams for financial analysis and expenditure forecasts.
- Serve as the central point of contact for program coordination.
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with the program’s strategic objectives.
- Mentor and foster development in all staff working on their program or project.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in core project management tools (Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, JIRA)
- Sound understanding of the retail banking industry
- Knowledge of various project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Strong risk management and mitigation skills
- Financial acumen and budget management expertise
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
