About the Role
In the role of Senior Project Officer: Financial Services, you will provide specialised project management services, guidance and technical expertise in the coordination, continuous improvement, and provision of Financial Services support to the Associate Director Procurement and Financial Services, who is leading the P2P project for the Adelaide University merger project. This will see you collaborate with the Integrated Management Office (IMO team), UniSA Financial Services Manager and team, and other key stakeholders to lead Financial Services project activities, resolve complex financial services issues, provide specialised advice, and engage in other project activities to ensure timely and successful outcomes are achieved.
About the Finance Unit
The Finance Unit is the central business unit that provides financial services to the University and is part of the Resources Portfolio led by the Chief Operating Officer. The Finance Unit is committed to implementing effective financial and commercial practices to support the University’s needs. The University’s model of financial service delivery is an integrated service delivery model with business partners that support the University in a competitive and rapidly evolving global environment.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or similar, and/or equivalent experience
- Proven project management experience in a financial services environment
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, internal controls, and banking regulations
- Demonstrated flexibility, initiative and ability to operate strategically within a complex environment
- High level communication, presentation, and financial reporting skills
