About the Role

As a Senior Advisor, Risk Systems and Processes, you will support the Bank\’s Risk Community through ensuring that our Risk Systems and supporting processes are user-friendly and continue to enhance the way we manage risk at Suncorp Bank.

Role Location: Brisbane is preferred. Sydney and Melbourne can also be considered.

Role Type: 12 months contract

What will your day look like?

As a Senior Advisor, Risk Systems and Processes, you will:

  1. Identify and implement synergies to create lean, agile, and scalable services that align with Chief Risk Office and Bank strategic priorities, ensuring outcomes are met efficiently.
  2. Provide strong leadership, fostering high performance and capability development within virtual teams. Focus on coaching and enabling team members to achieve outstanding results.
  3. Ensure risk systems and processes are effective, stable, and meet business needs, continuously improving and evolving to support the Bank\’s objectives.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Risk community, supporting the execution of the Risk program and fostering collaboration with key service providers.
  5. Champion a Human-Centered Design mindset and continuous improvement practices in core risk management. Assist in developing and delivering solutions that enhance process maturity and risk system functionality, while driving capability building within the Risk community.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  1. Tertiary Qualifications in business, commercial or finance.
  2. Demonstrated experience in financial services.
  3. Exceptional organisation and planning skills.
  4. Understanding and application of risk analysis, cash flow analysis, portfolio management, evaluation and analysis of profit projections, property valuation, credit mediation, security requirements and credit checking.
  5. Able to build strong relationships in relation to matters involving a wide range of stakeholders.
  6. Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity in all working relationships including being able to maintain strict confidentiality when required.
