Architects (Information & Communication Technology)
Sharp and Carter are looking for a Senior Solution Architect with a passion for delivering scalable, secure, and efficient solutions to join a utilities provider based in Brisbane for an initial 12 month temporary contract. The Senior Solution Architect will be responsible for leading solution architecture activities required to support the ICT Delivery life cycle. This role will work closely with Enterprise Architecture and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and adhere to ICT standards.
About the Role
As the Senior Solution Architect, you will lead solution architecture activities across a diverse ICT project portfolio. This role will also have key leadership responsibilities around the community of practice for solution architecture, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver solution architecture aligned with strategic goals and approved standards.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to internal teams and external delivery partners.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technologies.
- Facilitate architectural governance processes and provide expert advice on ICT initiatives.
- Transition technical components of projects to operational support teams.
- Maintain and utilize enterprise architecture tools to document and share solutions.
- Drive a community of practice for solution architecture, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Key Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Solution Architecture or a similar role.
- Proven expertise in designing enterprise solutions and implementing architectural governance.
- Experience with SAP platforms, particularly SAP Intelligent Asset and SAP S/4 Solutions.
- Proficiency in designing secure solutions that meet robust cyber security standards.
- Knowledge of MS Azure Integration Services and integration architecture.
- Utilities sector experience and familiarity with SCADA systems or IoT advantageous.
- Certifications in Azure, SAP, ESRI, or Salesforce are highly desirable.
- Qualifications in TOGAF, ITIL, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies are highly regarded.

SAP ERP, Salesforce CRM, Esri ArcGIS, Databricks, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Datum360, INEIGHT Document, AEVEA PI Historian, AVEA, GEO and Rubicon SCADA for Process and Control Systems.
