Become a Database Administrator (m/f/d) at ATIS in Bad Homburg
As a Database Administrator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the stable and secure operation of our Oracle databases, working in a high‑availability environment and continuously developing the systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate our Oracle landscape (19c), master complex RAC clusters, and manage data protection via Data Guard.
- Use Linux, optimize kernel parameters, and employ shell scripting for efficient administration.
- Ensure availability through proactive monitoring, identify bottlenecks, and develop monitoring strategies.
- Develop technical concepts for long‑term modernization projects and migration of legacy 11g systems.
- Perform deep‑dive troubleshooting, analyse causes, and optimise performance down to ASM level.
- Plan resource distribution using ASM technology and reliably back up databases via RMAN.
- Automate routine tasks (e.g., via Ansible) to free time for strategic tasks.
Qualifications
- Experienced database administrator with an analytical mindset and solid Linux knowledge.
- Knowledge of RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and ASM – or a strong willingness to deepen expertise.
- Fluent in German at least C2 level.
- Degree in IT or comparable training.
