Job Overview:
You will carry out post‑doctoral research activities in the field of applied physics and engineering within CERN’s Experimental Physics (EP) Department. You will contribute to the design, development, deployment and operation of physics experiments or experimental setups, with activities spanning detector technologies, material science, mechanical engineering, electronics and computing. You will work on advanced experimental projects in a highly collaborative and international environment, contributing to large‑scale research infrastructures and experimental programmes. Key Tasks

Monthly stipend: 7 004–7 425 Swiss Francs (tax free) depending on your degree.
30 days of paid leave per year plus 2 weeks annual closure.

Family, child and infant monthly allowances depending on your individual circumstances.
Relocation package (installation grant and travel expenses) depending on your individual circumstances.
Possibility to extend your contract up to 36 months.
On‑the‑job and formal training including language classes.
Eligibility Criteria
By the application deadline, have a PhD (or will obtain it within six months), and no more than 3 years’ research experience after completion of your PhD degree. Candidates with experience up to 6 years may exceptionally be considered.
Have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
Good knowledge of English or French.
