Design and monitor the operational workflows that ensure a 1:1 segregation between client crypto-assets and BingX EU’s proprietary assets, as mandated by MiCA. Collaborate with the Legal and Compliance Team to ensure that client assets are legally insulated and cannot be used to satisfy exchange liabilities in the event of insolvency. Develop and maintain the firm’s Custody and Safeguarding Policy, ensuring it meets the rigorous standards of the Regulator. Oversee the governance of hot, warm, and cold storage systems. Implement and audit Multi-Sig and MPC (Multi-Party Computation) protocols to minimize single points of failure. Manage the lifecycle of cryptographic keys, ensuring secure generation, storage, and backup procedures are in place. Review and authorize large-scale asset movements, ensuring they align with internal controls and client instructions. Establish robust procedures for the daily reconciliation of internal ledger records against on-chain wallet balances. Act as the primary stakeholder for external auditors and regulators regarding asset existence and safeguarding efficacy. Oversee the "Proof of Reserves" (PoR) program to provide transparency and build trust with our European user base. Requirements
Experience: 5+ years in Custody Operations, Digital Asset Security, or Financial Safeguarding within a regulated crypto exchange, custodian, or financial institution. Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of MiCA and European standards for the custody of financial instruments. Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of blockchain mechanics, HSM (Hardware Security Modules), MPC technology, and multi-signature wallet architectures. Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English and German (essential for technical documentation and regulatory reporting in Austria). Attention to Detail: An uncompromising commitment to accuracy and security; a "zero-error" mindset is required for this role. Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Vienna, Austria.
