Director Operations Plant Hinterberg 1&2
We are recruiting a Director of Operations for our advanced PCB/EMB production site in Hinterberg, Austria. In this role you take full ownership of performance, people, and results and play a key role in shaping the future of the plant. This is a high‑impact leadership role with full accountability, spanning operations, technology execution, and organizational leadership.
Your Responsibilities
Own overall plant performance and deliver on committed targets (output, quality, cost, delivery, safety)
Ensure reliable and predictable execution in a complex and low to high-volume production environment
Translate BU and plant strategy into clear priorities and measurable actions and drive consistent execution
Lead and further develop the operations organization to deliver sustainable results and not just activity
Lead and further develop a strong leadership team with clear accountability, ownership, and high performance standards
Drive operational discipline and process stability on the shop floor
Ensure effective shopfloor management with transparent KPIs and clear responsibilities
Drive technology implementation, industrialization, and ensure successful ramp‑ups at required performance levels
Identify performance gaps early, address underperformance, and implement corrective actions
Ensure budget discipline and make clear trade‑off decisions on resources, investments, and priorities
Actively manage cost, productivity, and efficiency levers to strengthen competitiveness
Ensure full compliance with quality, EHS, and all regulatory requirements
Maintain transparent KPI reporting and proactively manage risks and deviations
Your Profile
University degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
Strong background in PCB, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing
Proven leadership experience in plant or operations management with a track record of delivering results in complex, high‑volume environments
Strong business understanding with solid understanding of cost structures, efficiency levers, and operational KPIs
Execution‑driven leader who performs well under pressure and in ambiguous situations, with the ability to think strategically while driving implementation
Ability to challenge, align, and develop teams, with a strong focus on building capabilities, growing leaders, and developing a high‑performing organization
Continuously develop and strengthen the existing organization to enhance capability and performance
Experience leading intercultural and cross‑functional organizations
Fluent in German and English
