Manager Strategic Capacity Planning Location: Leoben, Austria
In this role, you will drive long‑term capacity planning and strategic decision‑making across a global manufacturing network. You will develop business cases, lead cross‑functional strategic initiatives, and facilitate executive‑level discussions to ensure operational capabilities align with mid‑ and long‑term market demand forecasts. Acting as a trusted partner to senior leadership, you will provide strategic insights, scenario analyses, and recommendations that support sustainable growth, investment decisions, and organizational transformation.
Responsibilities
Drive strategic discussions with stakeholders and develop robust strategic programs across multiple sites and technologies.
Develop structured decision‑making processes and facilitate strategic decisions.
Provide input and support for strategic priority setting, including scenario analysis and presentations.
Elaborate strategic presentations, papers, and documentation to support stakeholder communication.
Provide qualitative and quantitative input from a strategic S&OP development based on the new target operating model.
Troubleshoot complex production issues to relieve bottlenecks that impact plant capacity.
Promote new organizational models across the plant network from a strategic perspective and facilitate support solutions.
Collaborate with BU‑level functions and plants to achieve common organizational goals and strategies.
Prepare and deliver executive‑level presentations, synthesizing complex strategic, operational, and financial topics into clear recommendations.
Develop concise management communication materials, including investment proposals, scenario analyses, and executive briefings.
Qualifications
University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Informatics, or a related field.
Several years of experience in an international industrial environment, ideally within microelectronics or high‑tech industries.
Experience with PCB industry is an advantage.
Management experience in an international & industrial environment.
Proven track record in strategy development, strategic planning, business case creation, and cross‑functional alignment.
Strong understanding of global manufacturing environments, capacity planning, and investment decision‑making.
Proven ability to create compelling executive presentations and reports, translating complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent storytelling, stakeholder management, and presentation skills with experience presenting to senior executives.
Strong business acumen with the ability to structure recommendations around strategic impact, financial value creation, risks, and implementation considerations.
Experience working with senior leadership and executive stakeholders in a performance‑driven environment.
Solid knowledge of strategic frameworks, analytical methodologies, scenario planning, and business modelling.
Strong digital mindset and interest in industry trends, digitalization, and emerging technologies.
Excellent communication skills in English; German knowledge is an advantage.
