Introduction

As aManufacturing Generalist CRYO, you support our production operations wherever your skills can currently create the greatest value. You work across teams and products on a variety of assemblies, products, and manufacturing tasks, helping to successfully manage capacity fluctuations, product launches, and complex manufacturing situations.
In this role, you combine hands-on craftsmanship, technical expertise, and a strong willingness to learn. You quickly familiarize yourself with new tasks, support the production of prototypes, demonstrators, and serial production units, and operate confidently in an environment where not every process is yet fully documented or standardized. You work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Project Management, and R&D/Engineering to achieve these goals.


Your Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assembly and manufacturing of assemblies, systems, and components across different product lines
  • Flexible support of various teams and manufacturing areas in line with current priorities
  • Rapid onboarding into new products, processes, and work environments
  • Assembly and production of prototypes, demonstrators, and pre-series units
  • Assembly of precision mechanical, vacuum, and cryogenic subassemblies
  • Independent execution of manufacturing tasks in environments with partially incomplete or evolving documentation
  • Support for product launches and the transition of new products into serial production
  • Performance of self-inspections and documentation of work results in the ERP system
  • Identification, reporting, and follow-up of quality deviations, process issues, and missing parts
  • Contribution to the creation and improvement of work instructions, manufacturing standards, and quality gates
  • Technical support in evaluating manufacturability and assembly processes
  • Close collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize processes and workstations
  • Support for special projects, bottleneck situations, and critical manufacturing steps
  • Active participation in continuous improvement (CI), Lean, and 5S initiatives
  • Ensuring orderliness, cleanliness, and workplace safety throughout the work environment
  • Collaboration with various managers and functional departments according to the respective area of assignment


Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Completed technical vocational training, for example as a Precision Mechanic, Mechatronics Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Electronics Technician, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in the assembly or manufacturing of technical products
  • Broad technical understanding of mechanics, vacuum technology, and cryogenics
  • Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new products, processes, and manufacturing technologies
  • Enjoy working on a variety of tasks across different teams
  • Confident handling of technical drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation
  • Experience with ERP systems and digital manufacturing documentation is an advantage
  • Strong quality awareness and a careful, structured way of working
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach
  • High level of initiative and willingness to learn
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Flexibility in working with changing products, tasks, and stakeholders
  • Openness to new technologies, methods, and digital tools
