is looking for new Ingenious Partner for our location in
Vienna . At the
Center for Energy , we work on solutions for the sustainable energy system of the future and, a particular focus lies on the development of power electronics converters for mobile applications (electric vehicles, ships, aviation) as well as grid-tied renewable energy solutions.
Our team
Power Electronics & System Components
covers the whole range of power electronics system development from development of novel solutions for the electricity grid, via specification and prototyping towards system test and validation and beyond. With successful collaborative research projects from emerging technologies up to demonstration we position ourselves as a reliable partner for industry.
Technician (f/m/d) Software Development for Power Conversion Systems CENTER FOR ENERGY
As part of our interdisciplinary team, you support the
development of embedded C/C++ firmware
for microcontroller units (MCUs) and digital signal processors (DSPs) used in power conversion systems for future energy applications.
You contribute to
software development for connectivity features
(e.g., Modbus, CAN, UART, Ethernet, cloud APIs).
You participate in
testing, debugging, and validation
of firmware and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
You
support documentation, version control, and code reviews
as part of the development process.
You
collaborate closely with hardware engineers and senior developers
on project design and implementation.
Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:
HTL or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
Familiarity with C/C++ programming for embedded systems
Exposure to microcontrollers, real-time systems, or digital signal processing (school or project experience welcome)
Basic understanding of power electronics or control systems is a plus (but not required)
Experience with tools such as Git, Python, RTOS, HIL is a preferable.
Eagerness to learn and a team-player attitude
Good communication skills in German or English
What to expect:
The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 46.592,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience. In addition, we offer company benefits, flexible working conditions (incl. Home-Office) and individual training and career opportunities.
