Job Overview
You will be responsible for our highly innovative Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) business for selected key strategic accounts within the Austrian area. This includes managing key accounts for all cranial/spinal technologies such as implants, navigation systems (Stealth AXiS), 3D imaging systems (O-Arm), robotics systems (Stealth AXiS autopilot / Stealth AXiS autoguide), drilling systems (MIDAS-REX), service contracts, and related items in the defined sales territory (Austria). Responsibilities
Achieve revenue and profit targets by building and maintaining key account relationships, developing customer potential, and coordinating sales support activities. Manage CST's comprehensive product portfolio (EnablingTech, Therapy, Capital, Services). Work closely with the Neurosurgery, Traumatology, and Orthopedics departments, as well as the management team. Identify and develop customer potential, plan customer segmentation, and document this in the CRM system (salesforce.com). Prioritize customer activities and coordinate resources with the Country Business Manager. Identify, map, and build relationships with all key decision-makers and opinion leaders, including sub-specialists and department heads. Negotiate contracts and terms, and successfully close deals. Manage all sales processes for prioritized customers. Identify customer potential for the defined product scope and further develop customer relationships, sales strategy, and planning. Apply a customer segmentation concept with long-term, medium-term, and short-term perspectives. Interface with marketing, therapy specialists in the field of spinal and neurosurgery, GPO managers, and IHS (Integrated Hospital Solutions). Create comprehensive, complete, and timely reports on customers, the market, competitors, trends, and key performance indicators. Plan and create sales forecasts by customer, product, and therapeutic area for the sales territory, and schedule corresponding meetings and customer activities. Handle all administrative tasks and prepare all necessary reports promptly and accurately (e.g., CRM entries, capital forecasts, inventory reports, stock movement forms). Provide regular, concise activity reports for the sales manager. Collaborate with all team members and support OR‑surgery requests. Attend all required regional and national meetings. Experience in the OR environment. Qualifications
Multiple years of successful sales experience in the medical device industry/life‑science/pharma environment. High relationship‑building skills on department chief level. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Therapy expert in at least one of the relevant areas. Team‑player attitude and ability to cooperate within a team. Ability to work independently and without supervision. Professional fluency in English and German in writing and in speech. Full clean driver’s license. Computer literacy. Location in Austria or willingness to relocate. Nice to have: Clinical and/or technical background. Key Account Management (KAM) skills. General product and therapy knowledge of the defined product scope. Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales force, physicians, nurses, and hospital technicians. Experience in the OR environment. Benefits & Compensation
Pay range (Austria): 68,960.00EUR - 103,440.00EUR. Location & Travel
