Authentic Memory is a Munich-based nonprofit building open cryptographic infrastructure that lets archives and memorial institutions prove the authenticity of digital records.
As synthetic media improves, real historical evidence becomes easier to fake and dismiss. We give institutions publicly verifiable proof of when a file existed, that it has not changed, and which institution vouches for it. We do this with cryptographic fingerprints, institutional digital signatures and distributed timestamps.
Our work is currently supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) and Google.org. We have already anchored more than 68,000 records, and we are now looking to scale fast to bring this infrastructure to institutions worldwide.
The role
You will own our relationships with partner institutions, from the first conversation through onboarding to ongoing support. You will also build Authentic Memory's network across the archives and memory sector. Leadership will join you only for a small number of high-profile contacts.
What you'll do
- Lead first conversations with directors and leadership at archives, memorial sites, libraries, museums and research infrastructures
- Explain clearly and accurately what our technology does
- Guide partner institutions through onboarding together with our tech team
- Support existing partners and keep those relationships strong over time
- Grow our network across the sector, including at conferences and events
- Keep track of every institution, conversation and follow-up in our CRM
What we're looking for
- Leadership and public speaking experience. You enjoy building a network, connect easily with people, and make others believe in the mission as we do.
- Confident with senior stakeholders. You can lead first conversations with institutional leadership on your own, without sounding salesy.
- Sector experience. You have worked with or inside archives, memorial sites, libraries, museums or research infrastructures, and you understand how these institutions make decisions.
- Technical curiosity. After training, you can explain hashing, digital signatures and timestamping correctly without overclaiming, and coordinate onboarding with our tech team.
- CRM and relationship management experience. You can maintain professional relationships over time, tracking institutions and follow-ups so nothing slips.
Nice to have

What we offer
- A full-time role at the heart of a mission that protects historical truth
- Direct work with leading archives and memorial institutions
- Real ownership: you shape how we build and grow our partner network
- €48,000 to €54,000 gross per year, depending on experience
- Start as soon as possible
