We design, manufacture, commission and support advanced inspection systems used by injection molding companies worldwide to ensure product quality and process performance. Position Overview We are seeking a Business Development Sales/Applications manager to be based in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. Candidate will also assist in selling & support existing network of value-added distributors in EUROPE. Business development of Avalon Vision products in EUROPE via phone, electronic media, and/or on-site sales and service visits. Initially this will include application review and quoting Avalon vision systems, installation and training users at different levels. Requires strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and face-to-face. Must use good problem-solving skills, knowledge and application of engineering and automation principles, including equipment and dexterity in the use of Windows-based computer systems and software. On-site customer service including installation of Avalon vision systems, troubleshooting and training. Knowledge will be applied to Avalon vision system integration with other equipment including injection molding machines, robots, PLC's, and other automation systems.
Electrical/Electronic or Automation Engineering 5+ years of professional experience in the injection molding industry Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical, mechanical, or automation systems) Comfortable using computers and diagnostic tools
Requirements
Educational degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automation Engineering At least five years of professional experience in selling in injection molding industry Ability to provide technical support to customers after sales. Proficient writing communication skills both in English and German Educational degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automation Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in injection molding, or industrial automation Familiarity with machine vision systems or optical inspection Experience with PLCs or industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, ProfNet) Previous field service or customer-facing technical role
