The Static Data Object Modelling and Compliance team is a dynamic team of business analysts and software developers spread across development centers in Europe. We follow an agile process working closely within our own team but also with other related teams and clients to develop new product features and maintain existing ones in live use.
The team works with clients and partners to develop and deliver innovative solutions to meet market demands and help shape the backoffice landscape of tomorrow.
As the owner of the functionality the team is part of many exciting and challenging projects.
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst who is interested in elaborating business requirements to support our developers to implement scalable solutions in the financial services industry.
This job represents a unique opportunity to advance your Business Analysis skills and acquire banking and wealth management domain experience. You will become a functional expert of Avaloq core banking software and the corresponding business processes in the industry.
Your key tasks
- Conduct customer workshops to explain/demo a solution or collect requirements.
- Create complete and correct system requirements specifications and provide/validate effort estimates concerning components and business analysis efforts for new requirements.
- Contribute to solution design and documentation and act as liaison between Avaloq customers and 3rd party providers for the development implementation and enhancement of existing systems.
- Execute best practice configuration parametrization or integration of the product including meaningful customization setup (where applicable).
- Analyze defects and new requirements and liaise with customers.
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding functionality provided in the responsible area components.
- Define and ensure execution of test cases from a banking perspective.
- Create and maintain system documentation either by providing input to technical writers or by doing the documentation himself/herself.
- Screen third party system landscape as well as legal environment for potential changes.
- Coach juniors and external staff.
Qualifications
- University degree in computer science, business informatics, computer/electronic engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Compliance or Object Modelling.
- Open-minded, team-oriented and communicative.
- Eager to learn and take on new challenges.
- Strong written and spoken English language skills.
It would be a real bonus if you have
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to think abstractly is a strong plus.
- Know-how of the banking industry products and processes.
