Tax Specialist (Europe)

Job Description Ensure accurate, compliant and timely filing of income tax and VAT returns for European and other global entities and coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local tax regulations. Assists with tax audits and respond to inquiries from the tax authorities Review/prepare quarterly tax reporting under IAS 12 Provide regular updates and reports to the Head Global Tax on the status of tax compliance and planning initiatives Collaborate closely with the Head Global Tax to align European tax strategies with global tax objectives and make a valuable contribution to various global projects (e.g., BEPS Pillar Two, tax accounting, VAT/GST compliance) Qualifications Qualifications as a certified tax specialist and minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in a tax consulting firm and/or in a similar in-house tax position in a multinational environment Sound knowledge of German tax law, regulations and guidelines Strong analytical skills and attention to details Sound understanding of accounting principles It would be a real bonus if you have User experience in SAP FI Knowledge in UK RDEC Claims Experience in the area of tax accounting IAS 12 Additional Information We realize that managing work life balance is a challenge we all face in our daily lives and in order to support with this we are pleased to offer hybrid and flexible working for most of our Avaloqers to maintain work life balance and still continue our fantastic Avaloq culture in our global offices.
