Overview
As an Azure Cloud Architect at Avanade, you will design and scale secure Azure platforms for enterprise clients, shaping cloud transformation across the organization. You will lead landing zone design, migrations, and cloud-native implementations using AKS, Functions, and core Azure services. You will align business, development, and operations through technical leadership, governance, and security standards, driving efficient delivery and customer outcomes. This role offers hands-on architecture with mentoring responsibilities and opportunities to influence large-scale cloud strategies within a people-first culture.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design resilient, scalable, and secure Azure cloud architectures for enterprise customers
- Lead the design and implementation of Azure Landing Zones that establish a compliant and secure cloud foundation
- Architect and drive complex migrations of infrastructure, applications, and databases from on-premises environments to Azure
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and modern Azure platform services
- Develop hybrid and edge cloud solutions that integrate Azure with existing enterprise environments
- Define cloud governance, security, identity, networking, and compliance standards
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates) to automate deployments and platform management and Agentic development and deployment
- Collaborate closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure successful delivery
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams
- Support solution development, client workshops, architecture reviews, and pre-sales activities
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Strong hands-on experience in architecting, implementing, and operating Microsoft Azure solutions
- Deep understanding of cloud and enterprise architectures, distributed systems, and hybrid scenarios
- Experience with networking, security, and identity concepts (e.g. Azure AD / Entra ID, Zero Trust, private networking)
- Knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Bicep, Terraform, ARM, Azure DevOps, GitHub)
- Experience with integration and data architectures in cloud environments
- Solid understanding of governance, ALM, and quality frameworks
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and appropriately to different audiences
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Confident and professional interaction with customers and project stakeholders
- Mentoring and coaching mindset toward consultants and engineers
- Experience or solid knowledge in data and AI‑based services on Azure (e.g. Azure AI Services, Copilot integration, analytics, automation)
- Fluency in German and English is required
