Site Manager / civil works

Act as a focal point with Customer and third parties for the supervision of the technical and operative aspects of the pre-lay activities related to the power cable system.

Act as an interface between Customer, Civil works contractors, and Cable laying subcontractors for planning activities, checking civil works execution, and verifying infrastructure.

Supervise laying operations performed by subcontractors.

Maintain a record diary of activities on site, managing subcontractors\‘ execution in accordance with the submitted plan and contractual requirements.

Supervise backfilling operations carried out by third-party companies, ensuring compliance with timing, quality, and cable protection standards.

Oversee site resources (personnel and assets), technical aspects, logistics, and HSE management.

Ensure compliance with internal rules and procedures throughout the process.

Assist in preparing method statements and other necessary documentation for on-site works, in collaboration with and under the supervision of Installation Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Ability to manage technical and operational aspects of the job, including attention to technical documentation, understanding drawings and procedures, through on-field learning and experience.
• Leadership skills and ability to guide a team towards achieving targets.
• Good relationship management with clients and subcontractors.
• Problem-solving skills and target orientation, with the ability to prioritize effectively in coordination with management.
• Quick learning ability and self-commitment.
• Proficiency with software tools like Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and internet applications.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel frequently, domestically and internationally.
• Willingness to spend extended periods in Germany.
• Flexible scheduling.
• Valid driving license.
