Site Manager (North Germany – offshore project)

Role Definition

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as focal point with Customer and third parties for supervising the technical and operative aspects of pre-lay activities related to the power cable system.
• Serve as interface between Customer, Civil works contractors, and Cable laying subcontractors for planning activities, checking civil works execution, and infrastructure verification.
• Supervise laying operations performed by subcontractors.
• Maintain a record diary of on-site activities, managing subcontractors\‘ execution in accordance with the submitted plan and contractual requirements.
• Supervise backfilling operations carried out by third-party companies, focusing on timing, quality, and cable protection.
• Oversee site resources (personnel and assets), technical aspects, logistics, and HSE management.
• Ensure compliance with internal rules and procedures throughout the process.
• Assist in preparing method statements and other documentation necessary for on-site work, in collaboration with and under the supervision of Installation Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Ability to manage technical and operational aspects of the job, including understanding technical documentation, drawings, and procedures, through on-field learning and experience.
• Leadership qualities and ability to guide a team to achieve targets.
• Strong relationship skills with clients and subcontractors.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize effectively in coordination with management.
• Quick learner with a strong commitment.
• Proficiency in basic software tools such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Internet use.
• Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel frequently, domestically and internationally.
• Willingness to spend extended periods in Germany.
• Flexible scheduling.
• Valid driving license.
