About the role:

As a Project Manager, you will work with cross-functional teams, as well as with external vendors and partners to deliver services to customers. You will be tasked with developing and managing project schedules, scope, resources, and project health. You will be responsible for identifying risks, defining problem-solving strategies, and facilitating conflict resolution to ensure our projects are successful from start to finish. You are tasked with managing projects and people and need to have a strong business sense, be process-driven, and have excellent communication skills to be able to assess complex situations and redirect projects when needed. You are someone who takes pride in your organizational capabilities and has the leadership skills to ensure a project runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities:

1. Creating and executing Microsoft project plans and revising them as needed to meet changing needs and requirements.
2. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
3. Identifying and assembling project teams, as well as providing leadership and mentoring cross-regional teams.
4. Identifying, scheduling and leading customer-facing meetings to assure effective completion of projects.
5. Effectively managing communication across all levels of management (both internally and externally).
6. Maintain the risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and change tracker for projects.
7. Managing day-to-day operational aspects of projects, which include scope and cost.
8. Maintaining current and complete project management data in database; analyzing and reporting project performance metrics as requested.
9. Reviewing deliverables prepared by our Delivery team before passing to the client.
10. Effectively applying AvePoint delivery methodology, and enforcing project standards.
11. Preparing for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
12. Host project board meetings with senior customer stakeholders.
13. Planning and leading discovery, business process design and technical design workshops for large enterprise customer projects.
14. Minimizing company exposure and risk on projects through early detection, development of contingency plans, and full communication.
15. Driving the commitment to continuous process improvement for the department and company.
16. Responsible for creating and managing project budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring financial compliance to deliver projects within scope and budget.

Essential requirements:

1. 5+ years of relevant project management experience.
2. Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint architecture, components, and configuration.
3. Fluent in English and German.
4. Strong organizational skills, extremely high attention to detail, ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects concurrently and see roadblocks or risks down the line.
5. Good understanding of Agile and Waterfall development and delivery methodologies.
6. Understanding of cloud technologies, ideally including M365 products, and how they impact today’s business.
7. General understanding of application programming concepts as well as database and system design.
8. Proven ability to manage the execution of enterprise IT software implementations.
9. Demonstrated success managing priorities and personalities in cross-functional teams.
10. Comfortability working autonomously and collaboratively.
11. Proficient in Microsoft Projects and Power BI.
12. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills and a great team player.
13. Any project-specific qualifications are a plus (e.g. PMP, Prince2, PMI-ACP etc.).
