Senior Event Production Technician

Lead the technical planning, setup, and execution of onsite, hybrid, and virtual events for a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology client.

Responsible for delivering high-quality video production, managing and troubleshooting production systems, optimizing control room operations, and supporting live event delivery.

Also serves as a virtual event producer, overseeing event flow, platform management, speaker coordination, and real-time show direction to ensure seamless event execution.

Production Coordination & Meeting Support

• Provide technical consultation and production solutions for live, hybrid, and virtual events.
• Coordinate and support events across platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• Manage event production, show flow, speaker coordination, rehearsals, and live execution.
• Ensure technical readiness, quality control, and compliance with production standards.
• Support post-production editing, recording delivery, event reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on event strategy, operational planning, and technical enhancements.

Technical Events

• Lead the technical design, setup, and operation of production control rooms and event technologies.
• Manage video, audio, graphics, streaming, playback, show control, and virtual event platforms.
• Configure, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize production equipment and systems.
• Serve as the primary technical support resource for live events and production facilities.
• Mentor technicians, support training initiatives, and coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with post-production workflows, including editing and creation of event assets.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of live event, broadcast, video production, or technical event experience, including 3+ years supporting onsite, virtual, and hybrid events.
• Strong hands-on expertise in control room operations, video switching, audio mixing, robotic cameras, playback systems, and live streaming.
• Proficient in virtual event platforms and enterprise collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• Experience producing and executing virtual and hybrid events, including show flow management, speaker coordination, and live event operations.
• Strong understanding of broadcast workflows, signal flow, and real-time troubleshooting in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality, client-focused event experiences.
• Proven ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, mentor team members, and adapt in fast-paced production environments.
• Nice-to-have skills
• Experience with production switchers (Tri Caster or equivalent), professional audio systems (Yamaha, Dante, Shure), and streaming infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Adder KVM systems, production routing environments, and post-production tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Background in video production, communications technology, or a related field.
• OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Limited travel is required based on requirements and location of productions and service needs including meetings at client offices and AVI-SPL offices.
