Sales & Proposal Engineer in Wiesbaden

Overview

In this role you qualify opportunities in the edible oil and oleochemical space and translate customer needs into technically sound proposals. You’ll coordinate with internal teams to shape tender responses and navigate cost estimates, ensuring contracts are won. You will support marketing and sales strategy, nurture key customer relationships, and help expand market coverage. This position offers the chance to influence project tenders, pricing, and solution fit in a growing specialty segment.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Assist Sales Director in planning, preparing and executing contract tender opportunities in the edible oil/oleochemical industry
• Generate proposals by assembling project cost estimations, operating costs, scope of supply and process diagrams
• Perform project cost estimations, equipment sizing, and rough process calculations
• Match client requirements to optimal solutions using engineering insight
• Create and deliver product presentations highlighting technology value
• Assist Sales Director in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategy
• Penetrate the market to ensure optimum coverage and timely proposal follow-up and negotiations
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to support future sales
• Monitor competitors and share insights to inform counter-strategies
• Coordinate with Engineering and Operations on proposals, contracts, and commitments
• Oversee order booking, invoicing, and payment collection with project leaders
• Assist in preparing and participating in conferences and exhibitions

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Bachelor's degree in chemical / Process Engineering
• 2-4 years preparing Sales proposals for equipment or project tenders; fresh graduates welcome
• Experience in Edible Oil or Oleochemical industry is a plus
• Willing to travel on short notice
