Overview
In this role you help shape AI adoption at scale by building practical guardrails, governance patterns, and safety defaults for AI-powered systems. You’ll translate policy and risk needs into reusable platform controls, working with cross-functional partners to make AI safer, auditable, and production-ready. You’ll contribute to observability, data-safe patterns, and model/provider guidance, while mentoring the team to elevate AI safety and governance practices. This is a hands-on, impact-focused role at the AI Platform Team, anchored in pragmatic engineering and measurable risk reduction.

- Define and improve guardrails and safe defaults for AI systems
- Shape privacy and PII handling patterns for AI workflows
- Contribute to provider and model governance guidance with practical validation
- Translate policy, risk, and governance needs into reusable platform patterns
- Define production-ready safety, governance, and risk expectations for AI systems
- Contribute to readiness checks, automated validations, and scalable governance mechanisms
- Enhance logging, tracing, and observability for auditable, safer operations
- Collaborate with Security, Legal, Architecture, and product engineering teams
- Support teams in understanding AI risks such as unsafe outputs and privacy exposure
- Write documentation, patterns, and guidance to apply standards consistently
- Mentor team members to raise maturity in AI safety and governance
- Promote clean code, testing, and strong engineering practices
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and production systems experience
- Practical experience in security, governance, privacy, compliance, or risk-related engineering
- Hands-on experience applying controls to AI/LLM-powered systems
- Understanding of AI-specific risks (privacy, unsafe outputs, model/provider risk)
- Ability to translate policy/risk requirements into practical controls
- Knowledge of making AI systems observable and auditable in production
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, and non-engineering stakeholders (Security/Legal)
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience across design, implementation, rollout, and iteration of platform capabilities
- Solid understanding of information security and secure-by-design practices
