As Head of Engineering for Developer Experience & Platform, you will shape how engineers build, ship, and operate software at scale. You’ll own the DevEx strategy, modernise the cloud platform on AWS, and lead tooling that boosts productivity. You will drive AI-native development adoption, establish new standards, and guide organisation-wide change with cross-functional partners. This role blends engineering excellence, platform strategy, and AI innovation to enable scalable value delivery. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Define and evolve the DevEx strategy, roadmap, and governance across the engineering organization
- Identify friction points and drive data-driven improvements to tooling, processes, and productivity
- Manage the developer tools portfolio and budget; assess and retire tools as needed
- Lead AI-native development rollout, tools, and enablement programs to accelerate AI fluency
- Oversee cloud platform standardisation on AWS, cost management, and FinOps practices
- Drive cloud migration and platform modernization with focus on reliability, observability, security
- Build and lead a high-performing, distributed team spanning DevEx, platform engineering, and tooling
- Contribute to strategic planning and engineering leadership discussions
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Hands-on coding background in Java or TypeScript
- Strong understanding of AI-native software development and AI tooling
- Proven leadership in developer experience, platform engineering, or related roles
- Deep knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, and developer tooling ecosystems
- Experience with AWS, IaC (Terraform), containers, and cloud-native architectures
- FinOps or cloud cost management experience at scale
- Track record delivering organization-wide change with cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience leading globally distributed teams
