We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer (m|f|x) to support our development team in the international department. Almost like a start-up within idealo itself, we drive the evolution of our international online product and price comparison platforms to fuel our exceptional growth.
How our tech team outworks this day to day, is through creating features and A/B tests in our consumer-facing frontends and internal tools, working with micro-services running on AWS. You will work closely with the colleagues in your product area and with teams in other departments. Having freedom, being trusted, and taking responsibility is a big part of our team DNA. This position is available full-time or part-time.
About your new role
- You develop features for our price comparison portals that drive our growth and strengthen our market presence.
- Together with UX designers, developers, stakeholders and the product owner you collaborate in an established agile process.
- Maintaining an open and respectful relationship with your colleagues is key to you and you bring a high level of commitment to continuous improvement.
- You will work with modern processes and tools: Kanban, code reviews, pair programming, AWS, IntelliJ Ultimate IDE.
Skills & Requirements
- You bring in at least three years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer.
- Solid knowledge of modern Java (version 17 and above), Spring Boot and React (experience with TypeScript and a framework like Next.js is a plus) are part of your expertise.
- You possess a can-do attitude with an eagerness to learn and grow.
- Your clear communication skills, coupled with experience in cross-functional teams and agile methodologies, enable you to help the team collaborate and find creative solutions.
- You know how to use modern development tools, such as Jira, Confluence and Git.
