Axelra AG
Axelra is a Swiss tech venture builder that turns digital business models into operating companies.
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Business Development & Sales to take a leading role in a new venture in next-generation financial services, backed by experienced industry experts and powered by leading operational and technology partners.
We are building the first fully integrated financial advisor for private clients, combining independent advice, holistic financial planning, evidence-based investment management, and a hybrid digital-and-human client experience.
We are running this search confidentially and will share the company name and the full backing with you in a first conversation.
Opportunity You will join the launch team of an innovative company in the large Swiss wealth management market at an early stage, actively shape its development, and participate in long-term value creation, including through equity participation.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the growth model, brand and client‑acquisition approach of an independent, technology‑enabled Swiss wealth‑management platform from the ground up. The role suits a commercially driven builder who combines strategic thinking, relationship‑building and hands‑on execution.
Mission Your mission is to build the commercial foundation of the venture: a repeatable, scalable, and measurable way to attract the right clients, convert them efficiently, and support long‑term growth.
You will focus on trusted introducers, partnerships, digital acquisition and disciplined sales execution, taking the venture from launch to scale.
You will help validate and optimize key commercial KPIs, including AUM growth, CAC, CLV, conversion rates, channel productivity, and client acquisition payback.
Tasks Build the growth engine
Design and execute the go‑to‑market strategy across personal networks, introducers, referrals, partnerships, and digital channels
Build a systematic sales process from lead generation and qualification to introductory calls, proposals, and client conversion
Contribute to the future setup of a high‑performing sales organization
Develop trusted introducer channels
Build and manage relationships with tax advisors, trustees, financial planners, lawyers, companies, and other relevant multipliers
Create a structured introducer program with clear messaging, partner materials, referral processes, and follow‑up standards
Drive digital and content‑led acquisition
Work with marketing partners to develop a digital trust engine, including the website, LinkedIn, SEO, newsletters, webinars, PR, and selected paid acquisition tests
Ensure digital activity goes beyond brand building and is directly linked to qualified lead generation and client conversion
Convert qualified prospects
Lead or support high‑quality prospect conversations, especially during the early phase
Work closely with financial planning and wealth management specialists to ensure a credible, consultative, and compliant sales process
Refine the client proposition based on market feedback
Establish commercial discipline
Track and optimize CAC, conversion rates, channel ROI, sales cycle length, AUM per client, and NPS
Identify what scales, what should be stopped, and where to invest further
Establish the operating rhythm for pipeline management, CRM discipline, sales reporting, and KPI tracking
Requirements Experience
5+ years in financial services, preferably wealth management
Proven track record of building or scaling a business unit or company
Strong experience in client acquisition and revenue generation
Exposure to digital wealth models or fintech is a strong plus
Digital mindset, with comfort using technology for client acquisition, advisory processes, and operational efficiency
Education
University degree in finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent higher education
Advanced qualifications such as CFA, MBA, or CAIA preferred
Language requirements
German: Fluent, both written and spoken
English: Professional working proficiency required
Personality
High integrity and credibility
Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills
Profound sense of ownership with a proven track record of seamlessly switching between high‑level strategy and operational execution
Resilience and adaptability
Balanced entrepreneurial drive and risk discipline
We are not looking for a manager, advisor, or consultant. We are looking for someone who genuinely wants to build.
Benefits A rare opportunity to
take a commercial leadership role in a new Swiss financial advisory venture
shape the growth model, brand and client acquisition engine from the ground up
scale a business within the large and attractive wealth management market
join forces with experienced industry experts, committed long‑term sponsors, and leading operational and technology partners
benefit from a competitive compensation package including salary, performance‑based upside and potential equity participation
build a purpose‑led proposition: helping private clients achieve greater financial clarity, confidence and peace of mind.
