Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical designs for aircraft fuselage, rear fuselage, and tail cone structures and system installation.
- Design metallic parts with focus on Design for Manufacturing (Df M).
- Support the complete product development lifecycle, from design through industrialization.
- Participate in Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR).
- Create and maintain high quality 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with stress, manufacturing, certification, and systems engineering teams to ensure technically robust and manufacturable designs.
- Our Ideal Candidate Should Have
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in composite structures design, preferably within a regulated industry
- Strong proficiency in 3D modelling and drafting tools (NX or similar CAD systems preferred)
- Familiarity with composite design methodologies and related software tools (e. g.,
- Fibersim or equivalent)
- Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English, German is a plus.
