Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed mechanical designs for aircraft fuselage, rear fuselage, and tail cone structures and system installation. Design metallic parts with focus on Design for Manufacturing (DfM). Support the complete product development lifecycle, from design through industrialization. Participate in Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR). Create and maintain high quality 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation. Collaborate with stress, manufacturing, certification, and systems engineering teams to ensure technically robust and manufacturable designs. Our Ideal Candidate Should Have
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline 5+ years of experience in composite structures design, preferably within a regulated industry Strong proficiency in 3D modelling and drafting tools (NX or similar CAD systems preferred) Familiarity with composite design methodologies and related software tools (e.g.,
Fibersim
or equivalent) Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and adapt in a dynamic environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Fluent in English, German is a plus.
