Role Purpose
The VP, Head of Commercial Operations is a senior leadership role in the Europe & International Commercial organization, responsible for building the operating backbone that enables disciplined execution, stronger performance visibility, AI-enabled efficiency and scalable growth across markets, franchises and commercial models.
As the business scales, the role is expected to expand in scope and impact, creating the platform for broader commercial operations leadership across distribution and trade, analytics and insights, demand planning, customer engagement infrastructure, AI-driven business enablement and go-to-market execution.

The VP leads Commercial Operations across Europe and International Markets, with accountability for the operating system that connects analytics, performance management, distribution and trade, demand planning support, CRM / customer engagement infrastructure and go-to-market assessment.
A core accountability is to define the framework for how Azurity evaluates direct, distributor, hybrid or future-expansion models by market and product.
The role aligns CBEs, Regional Commercial Leads and enabling functions while maintaining clear ownership boundaries: CBEs own franchise and brand strategy; Regional Commercial Leads own market P&L and in-year execution; Commercial Operations owns the operating rhythm, execution visibility and decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Operations Leadership
- Lead Commercial Operations as the execution backbone for Europe & International.
- Set the operating rhythm across governance, KPIs, executive reporting and performance reviews.
- Align CBEs, Regional Commercial Leads and enabling functions around priorities, milestones and ac-countability.
- Drive execution discipline through risk visibility, corrective actions and escalation routes.
- Analytics, Performance and Brand Integration
- Lead decision support and analytics across direct and partner-led markets.
- Own performance insights that support faster, evidence-based decisions.
Champion practical AI innovation to improve business efficiency, insight generation, reporting automation and decision support.
- Lead Brand Performance Assessments, surfacing risks, opportunities and corrective actions. Quantify growth opportunities with CBEs and Regional Commercial Leads.
- Go-to-Market Assessment and Market Prioritization
- Build the GTM assessment framework for direct, distributor, hybrid and future-expansion models.
Assess market attractiveness, access, regulatory path, channel needs, partner capability and time-to-value.
- Translate approved priorities into operating plans, capability needs and investment implications.
- Prepare decision papers and market prioritization roadmaps.
- Act as Commercial Operations partner to CBEs across ONCO, CORE, ARGO and CNS.
- Convert franchise priorities into operating inputs, readiness tracking and execution milestones.
- Support Oncology and CORE priorities, including Nildanzy, lenalidomide, Contrave and Mysimba.
- Clarify operational handoffs between CBEs, Regional Commercial Leads and enabling functions.
- Lead Distribution & Trade operations across Europe & International.
- Oversee distributor governance, customer service performance, order flow and issue escalation.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Quality and Regional Commercial Leads on supply, inventory, demand and scorecards.
- Demand Planning, Forecasting and S&OP Support
- Drive demand-plan submission, alignment, reconciliation and optimization.
- Align assumptions with Finance, Supply Chain, Regional Commercial Leads and CBEs.
- Improve forecast quality through rolling forecasts, partner plans, inventory visibility and sale-in / sale-out insight.
- Customer Engagement and Commercial Excellence
- Define the customer engagement model for International and Europe.
- Define EU/INTL CRM, reporting and digital engagement capabilities.
- Support GTM model improvement, targeting, resource planning and commercial excellence initiatives.
- Support BD&L, licensing, acquisition and portfolio expansion opportunities.
- Assess operational readiness, launch feasibility, distribution needs and partner implications.
- Build repeatable tools for opportunity, integration and partner assessment.

- Define the GTM assessment framework and market model classification.
- Provide operational implications for market prioritization, launch sequencing and resource needs.
- Own the performance reporting structure and executive review cadence.

- Map distributor footprint, partner performance, contracts, inventory, supply and commercial risks.
- Integrate Contrave / Mysimba into cadence, reporting, demand planning and distributor governance.
- ONCO = Oncology, Hematology
- Define direct, partner or hybrid execution needs.
- Support launch A3 inputs, milestones, readiness tracking and KPI visibility.
- Identify access, hospital, formulary, stakeholder, field-force and distribution inputs.
- Assess operational requirements for UK, Europe and selected International opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Economics, Analytics, Supply Chain, Marketing or related field required.
- MBA, MSc, MPH or advanced business / life sciences degree preferred. Experience
- 15+ years in pharmaceutical commercial leadership, operations, excellence, analytics, distribution, trade, market access or sales operations.
- Experience building commercial operations across countries, regions or franchises.
- Strong understanding of direct, distributor and hybrid commercialization models.
- Experience with launch support, market expansion, partner operations, integration or post-acquisition operating models.
- Specialty, oncology, hospital, obesity / core brand or multi-TA portfolio experience preferred.
