Overview
In this role you will drive the development of an innovative implantable drug-delivery system from late prototyping to market readiness. You’ll work in R&D to validate designs in cleanroom environments and collaborate across teams to ensure manufacturing readiness and product reliability. You will contribute to test development, specification documentation, and transfer to serial production, shaping a cutting-edge medical device. This position offers hands-on problem solving in a small, international team with strong industry backing.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Assemble and test early-stage designs in the cleanroom for microfluidic valves, dosage systems, and implants
- Develop manufacturing tools and processes to improve production reliability and efficiency in cleanroom
- Create inline manufacturing tests in the cleanroom to ensure product quality
- Develop test equipment and procedures; perform experiments to evaluate performance and safety; document results
- Draft and review part specifications, drawings, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers to define part requirements for purchased components
- Perform verification testing when needed
- Assist with design transfer activities to move products into serial production
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree in mechanical engineering, medical engineering, mechatronics or similar (Bachelor / Master)
- Min. 5 years of relevant experience in R&D and/or manufacturing in cleanroom (preferably implantable medical devices)
- Experience in design of mechanical parts with 3D CAD software (preferably Solidworks)
- Basic knowledge of electronics
- Familiarity with MDR, FDA, ISO13485 is a plus
- English and German language skills (min. B2 in either one)
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach
- First principles and unconventional problem-solving thinking
- Teamplayer with strong communication skills
- 3D CAD design (SolidWorks)
