With a young and fast-growing team, we develop solutions to automate medical procedures across various business areas. Our goal is to augment caregivers’ eyes, hands and decision making with sensors, robotics, and artificial intelligence. Our cloud platform team is focused on creating corporate-wide solutions that will drive the next generation of B. Braun’s digital products and connected devices. We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (f/m/d) for our team at B. Braun New Ventures in Freiburg.
Duties and responsibilities:
- You will e nsure product security from both regulatory and practical perspective
- You will assess cybersecurity needs, create and maintain requirements and align them with project and company goals
- You will develop modern solutionsand guide testing for commercial medicalproducts
- You will discuss software architecture and documentation to help the team meet cybersecurity standards efficiently
- You are manage software supply chain risks, including Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) creation and third-partycomponentevaluation
- You will support post-market cybersecurity activities
- You will collaborate with scrum teams, including software developers, architects, system engineers, UX, quality engineers, and product owners
- Profound engineering background with a minimum of 5 years industrial experience in developing complex medical products within a team
- Proven ability to create state-of-the art cybersecurity solutions for complex medical systems
- Strong technical communication and decision-making skills in interdisciplinary settings
- Extensive experience with C++ and Linux is a plus
- Cybersecuritycertifications(e.g.,CISSP) and continuous monitoring of current state-of-the-art practices
- Familiarity with Cybersecurity-related norms (e.g. IEC/TR 60601-4-5, IEC 81001-5-1,IEC 62443-4-2)and FDA cybersecurity guidelines is a plus
- Experience with Linux,SELinux,ROS2,or distributed systemsisaplus
- Background in regulated sectors (medical, aerospace, automotive)
- You are a hands-on doer and an interdisciplinary networker
- You have an innovation mindset with enthusiasm for high-tech medical products
- You are communicating fluently in English. It would be a plus if you are fluent in German
