Your Project As part of our growth, we are looking for an Automation Technician to join a major industrial project with one of our clients, based in Aargau, Switzerland.
In this role, you will ensure the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production and utility systems, while supporting automation and instrumentation activities in a highly regulated industrial environment.
Your Main Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, utility systems, and conveying installations
Troubleshoot electrical, automation, instrumentation, and control systems to ensure maximum equipment availability
Commission new or modified production equipment and utility systems
Install, calibrate, test, and maintain field instrumentation and measurement devices
Diagnose and resolve issues related to automation, PLC-controlled equipment, and industrial control systems
Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, quality standards, and EHS requirements
Participate in the on-call duty rotation to support production activities
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability programs
Your Profile
Completed vocational training or apprenticeship as a
Instrumentation Technician, Automation Technician, Electrical Technician , or an equivalent technical qualification
Previous experience in an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment is an advantage
Good knowledge of industrial automation, instrumentation, and control systems
Experience with
Siemens PLCs
is a plus, or a strong willingness to develop these skills
Deep knowledge of industrial measurement systems , including pressure, temperature, flow, level, radar, and other process instrumentation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Reliable, proactive, flexible, and able to work independently as well as within a team
Committed to continuous learning and professional development
Fluent German is mandatory
Only candidates of Swiss or EU/EFTA nationality, or those holding a valid Swiss residence and work permit, will be considered.
