Product Owner – Food Processing Software and Machinery
Location: Lübeck, Hamburg

Aufgabe
Take responsibility for defining and delivering innovative digital solutions that optimize food production processes, enhance equipment efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, electronic engineers, customers and stakeholders, to drive product success and market adoption.
- Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap and backlog for the BAADER Poultry and BAADER Digitalization software.
- Gather and prioritize business and technical requirements from stakeholders, including product management, poultry processors, machine operators and engineers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, EU standards) and industry best practices.
- Work closely with software development teams to ensure features are designed, developed and deployed effectively and collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with factory machinery and production lines.
- Conduct market research – together with product management – to understand industry trends and identify opportunities for innovation, define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success.
- Act as the main point of contact for a customer, converting feedback into customer needs and product features that translate into actionable improvements.
Qualifikation
- Successfully completed university degree in computer science, engineering, food technology or a comparable qualification.
- Relevant work experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in industrial automation, food processing or manufacturing software.
- Experience working in agile development environments (Kanban, Scrum, Lean or others) and leading cross-functional teams toward clear goals and high performance.
- Familiarity with (cloud-based) industrial software and Industry 4.0 technologies; familiarity with IoT solutions, SCADA, MES or ERP systems in food manufacturing advantageous.
- Experience with predictive maintenance or real-time monitoring solutions for industrial equipment beneficial.
- Analytical competence to drive data-informed decisions.
- Good stakeholder management skills and the willingness to align diverse teams toward a shared vision along with good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
