Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global hardware engineering strategy and platform to align with business objectives, overseeing projects from concept through delivery and fostering lean, collaborative ways of working across global and local teams.
- Serve as the technical authority for global mechanical, electrical, and automation hardware standards, ensuring adherence to CE, UL, and ISO requirements, and driving robust validation methods and best‑practice adoption.
- Lead innovation and digital transformation by championing AI‑driven tools for CAD automation, BOM validation, and risk analysis, and embedding lessons learned into global libraries and standards.
- Manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and support bid approvals and feasibility assessments to ensure sound business decisions.
- Monitor and improve performance through KPIs such as standards compliance, reuse rates, and first‑pass yield, acting on deviations and driving systemic, continuous improvement initiatives.
- Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent, mentor local leaders, and cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.
- Act as the global interface for engineering standards and knowledge sharing, partnering closely with software, application, and project leaders to deliver integrated, end‑to‑end solutions.
Qualifications
- Bring experience leading global engineering organizations across regions such as Germany, China, India, and the USA.
- Have a background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Non‑Destructive Testing Application Engineering.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in engineering transformation, including building global standards, processes, and engineering repositories.
- Bring familiarity with NDT environments, which will be considered a significant advantage.
- Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
- Show the ability to drive innovation and digital adoption within complex engineering ecosystems.
