Performance Marketing Strategist is responsible for providing support for day-to-day and strategic tasks across Marketing and Performance Marketing channels, such as PPC (Google and Bing), Paid Social (Meta and Instagram, including potential launch of expansion channels) and Programmatic (Display, Audio, You Tube), and other relevant tools.

More specifically, this person is primarily focused on analysing campaign data, preparing performance reports, and delivering insights that inform optimisation strategies and support revenue and efficiency goals.

In addition, this position leads deeper performance analysis, supports planning and testing, improves reporting and measurement processes, and provides guidance to junior team members to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and scalable workflows; actively leverages AI tools to improve analytical output, streamline recurring workflows, and support more efficient and consistent execution across responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Campaign Creation & Optimization, Data Reporting & Analysis
  • Campaign Creation
  • Proposes campaign creation plans based on performance insights, including recommended campaign types/structures and what to promote (e. g., product focus, value propositions, audience targets) to achieve channel goals.
  • Creates campaigns on channel platforms based on approved plans, ensuring correct setup (targeting, budgets, tracking, naming conventions) and alignment with channel goals.
  • Optimizes campaigns based on performance data and testing learnings, applying changes to improve key metrics (e. g., CR, CTR, CPA, ROAS) and achieve channel goals.
  • Data Reporting & Analysis
  • Compiles and consolidates data from platforms including Google/Bing Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Google Campaign Manager, and other relevant tools to monitor performance and ensure data accuracy.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports summarizing key metrics (e. g., CR, CTR, CPA, ROAS), campaign outcomes, and actionable insights, including clear drivers of change and recommended next steps.
  • Maintains and updates dashboards to support management and stakeholder business reviews; improves dashboard structure for consistency, scalability, and ease of use.
  • Conducts deeper analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement based on performance data (e. g., geo, audience, creative, funnel, seasonality).
  • Provides regular performance updates to functional leads and stakeholders, highlighting key drivers, insights, and recommended next steps; supports business review narratives and executive-ready summaries.
  • Actively uses AI tools to streamline reporting workflows, accelerate insight generation, and improve the consistency and quality of performance outputs and summaries.
  • Accounts Management, Review, and Audit
  • Reviews account setup, platform recommendations, product feeds, campaign settings, and other items to ensure that they are properly set up and that changes align with goals and budget allocations.
  • Documents issues, irregularities, or opportunities found during audits and escalates to senior leads; proposes solutions and monitors the closure of actions.
  • Tracks and logs account spend to ensure campaigns are delivered within budget allocations; supports pacing, reallocation discussions, and efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Monitors and regularly updates Expense Metric files; improves reporting hygiene, naming conventions, and tracking consistency across channels and teams.
  • Evaluates current account and campaign structure and recommends changes based on new technologies — including AI-powered platform features and productivity tools — to enable more efficient account management, streamline audit and review workflows, and support performance goals.
  • Integrated Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Integrated Planning
  • Plans channel initiatives to support integrated planning goals and presents plans and recommendations to functional leads.
  • Implements integrated planning initiatives and applies customer insights in channel campaigns to support performance objectives.
  • Identifies required channel deliverables and submits requests to relevant teams to enable timely execution (e. g., creative, copy, feeds, reporting needs).
  • Works with other sub-functional leads to learn, align, and apply relevant strategies across channels and geographies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinates with cross-functional counterparts for the creation, planning, and implementation of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring clear objectives, deliverables, owners, and timelines.
  • Monitors progress of initiatives, flags risks/issues early, and escalates blockers to functional leads with proposed mitigation actions.
  • Analyzes and reports performance of initiatives to the leads, including results, learnings, and recommended next steps.
  • Works with cross-functional partners for localization needs (e. g., Emma Keane and Localization Team) to support accurate and effective market execution.
  • Works with Dev and Tech teams for tag implementation and/or audit in the event of new tools (e. g., SA360), ensuring tracking accuracy and measurement readiness.
  • Business Reviews, Reporting Support & Peak Season Coverage
  • Conducts regular performance analysis together with analysts to identify key drivers, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Reviews reports prepared by analysts to ensure outputs are accurate, efficient, and meet established standards; provides guidance and feedback to support subsequent revisions.
  • Determines reports for creation to aid performance analyses; recommends improvements in reporting structure, cadence, and usability to support decision-making.
  • Determines cross-functional reporting needs and coordinates with other functions for report creation and/or data generation to support business reviews and analysis needs.
  • Business Reviews
  • Presents and reviews performance with functional leads based on analysis findings, including key drivers, risks/opportunities, and recommended next steps.
  • Prepares performance reports and ad hoc deliverables for their channel to support management and stakeholder business reviews.
  • Executes analysis and season wrap-up slides for their channel, including clear performance narrative, learnings, and recommendations.
  • Raises flags within their account/channel and recommends applicable next steps to address risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Monitors and reports on competition, relevant news, and industry trends to support proactive planning and decision-making.
  • Peak Season
  • Monitors and optimizes account/channel daily and during critical weekends; sends out performance highlights during holiday coverage.
  • Collaborates with analysts during peak season to review current business, analysis, and real‑time optimizations, and provides guidance to support execution.
  • Provides more frequent updates to functional leads during big, critical sale days based on performance signals and pacing.
  • Reviews competitive landscape and market trends to be able to pivot based on business needs quickly.
  • Finance, Budget Management & Revenue Tracking
  • Manages account spend and applies changes to ensure alignment with profitability goals and approved budget allocations.
  • Updates Expense Metric files and ensures accuracy of data; monitors spend logging and reporting hygiene to support budget visibility.
  • Creates revenue build‑ups for their channel and implements updates based on latest performance, pacing, and business inputs.

  • Supports the creation of annual projections of revenue and spend based on campaign planning and in accordance with overall company and brand goals; consolidates inputs and implements updates as needed.
  • Peak Season
  • Monitors spend and revenue pacing versus goal projections for their channel; reports back and provides key and real‑time recommendations to functional leads based on performance signals.
  • Monitors EM% (spend to revenue) for their channel and flags deviations, risks, and opportunities with recommended next steps.
  • Ad Creation and Monitoring
  • Proposes ad copies for paid ads that effectively convey brand messaging; provides recommendations based on performance feedback and best practices.
  • Request and review translated copy/assets with the Localization team; ensures accuracy and alignment with campaign objectives and audience context.
  • Creates and uploads finalized ads on channel platforms; ensures campaign setup quality and adherence to timelines and requirements.
  • Implements sale changes as needed; supports QA to ensure ads appear as expected and accurately.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating ad copy feeds for deployment across multiple marketing platforms as required; coordinates improvements to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
  • Coordinates with the Creative team to optimize ads based on performance feedback; supports creative assortment planning and learning documentation.
  • Project Coordination and Documentation
  • Manages the Click Up workflow for creative asset requests, ensuring proper documentation, prioritization, and coordination to support seamless campaign execution; recommends workflow improvements to reduce friction.

  • Tracks deliverables and deadlines to ensure timely campaign sale launches; escalates risks early and proposes mitigation plans.
  • Provides administrative support to senior leads as needed, including preparation of materials for stakeholder reviews and planning discussions.

  • Market Understanding and Audience Research
  • Conducts competitor benchmarking and review industry best practices in digital marketing; translate findings into practical recommendations and testing opportunities.
  • Assists in researching target audience behavior, preferences, and emerging digital consumption trends; contributes to segmentation and targeting strategy refinement.
  • Monitors developments in digital platforms and recommends potential opportunities for testing; supports structured test documentation and post-test analysis.
  • Contributes insights to refine segmentation and targeting strategies; supports identifying growth opportunities across geographies and channels.
  • Utilizes AI tools to accelerate the synthesis of competitor, audience, and industry research, and to translate findings into insights and recommendations more efficiently.
  • Agency & External Partner Coordination
  • Coordinates with agencies and external partners across digital, offline, affiliate, and programmatic channels to support campaign execution, reporting needs, and day-to-day account requirements.
  • Supports agency and partner performance reviews by consolidating deliverables, validating reported results, and summarizing key insights, risks, and recommended next steps for functional leads.
  • Assists in partner onboarding and working processes by maintaining documentation of scopes, timelines, and requirements; ensures alignment with functional priorities and campaign roadmaps.
  • Supports RFP and scope discussions as needed by compiling requirements, gathering inputs from internal stakeholders, and organizing materials for review and decision-making.
  • Maintains clear and timely communication with external partners for localization, tagging, creative, and reporting needs, and escalates issues to functional leads as required.
  • Cross-Functional and Team Collaboration
  • Supports company culture by leading and/or participating in team-building events and activities.
  • Performs ad hoc tasks that may be assigned to support the function, team projects, and training activities.

What we’re looking for

  • Graduate of any Bachelor’s Degree, with the ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • 2+ years experience in Digital Marketing, particularly in Paid Social and PPC, is a must; demonstrated ability to analyse performance and deliver actionable insights.
  • Comfortable using MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) with strong proficiency in Excel and slide preparation for business reviews.
  • Familiarity with Click Up or similar project management tools; prior experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve workflows, productivity, and documentation quality; proactively adopts new tools and processes to drive efficiency.
  • Ability to follow instructions, promptly complete assigned tasks, and work collaboratively with a team; able to operate with greater independence and ownership within assigned channel scope.
  • Organized with great attention to detail, able to manage tasks and timelines with accuracy and consistency.

Performance Marketing Strategist position is a remote working position for Balsam International Unlimited Philippine ROHQ in Manila.

Team members in the Philippines are located within Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, and Tarlac areas only.
