The Kumon Leysin Academy of Switzerland (KLAS), a coeducational boarding high school located in a village in the Swiss Alps, is seeking an experienced and qualified IBDP teacher of History or Geography commencing in July of school year.
We seek compassionate and caring candidates who possess an open-minded commitment to lifelong learning, flexibility in teaching, and a desire to find personal balance while adding meaningfully to a small school context.
Considering the first cohort start date of July of 2028, the successful candidate will work with the DP team in the coming year to develop subject-specific curriculum and aid in authorisation process. Teaching in the first year will include our grade 10 DP Bridge as well as the possibility of instructing classes for English language learners within our Japanese high school structure. Year 1 DP instruction will commence August 2028.
Although an understanding of and appreciation for Japanese culture is certainly advantageous, the successful candidate is not expected to have any knowledge of the Japanese language.
