The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is hiring an Administrative Officer.

This role is based in Basel, Switzerland however, thanks to our status as an international organization, we can hire globally and welcome applications from candidates of all nationalities and located anywhere in the world. Relocation support is available for the successful candidate and their dependent family members.
Purpose Of The Job
BIS is an international organization dedicated to promoting global monetary and financial stability, serving as a bank for central banks. The Monetary and Economics Department focuses on financial policy work, research and statistical undertakings.
For this position, we are particularly seeking individuals with a strong background in administrative support for management, experience in organizing senior meetings and conferences as well as communication and external relationship management to join our team.

Principal Accountabilities
- Support core collaboration activities with public and private sector stakeholders (eg organising internal and external meetings, including at the most senior level).
- Provide support to (senior) management.
- Support activities regarding publication, communication and external relationship management.
- Coordinate budget and contract management activities.
- Handle a range of general administrative tasks.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in standard IT applications (MS Office, SharePoint, virtual collaboration tools) and a willingness to acquire new skills.
- Advanced business English skills, both in writing and speaking. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
- Collaborative team player.
- Several years of relevant experience is desirable, particularly in meeting organisation, budget and contract matters, project management and supporting senior managerial staff.
