Job Overview At Julius Baer, the Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) Private Banking supports one or more Relationship Manager(s) (RM) and Team Head(s) (TH) in daily operations, administration, client care and relationship management. The ARM interacts with internal and external stakeholders, provides clients with relevant information and assists the RM in implementing customized solutions. He/she sets an example of service quality for the team and helps manage and grow the current client base. Responsibilities Client Administration customize client requests such as reporting, statistics, and mailings; manage the RM/TH’s calendar, prepare client meetings, organize business trips, and post‑process client calls, meetings, or trips; compile presentations and support drafting investment proposals and marketing activities; ensure coverage in case of own absences. Business Management: Collect and exchange relevant information; prioritize tasks and conduct reviews; assist in the implementation of projects and initiatives; propose improvements based on experience and observations; manage the expense claim process for RMs/TH. Risk Management ensure adherence to local regulations and internal policies (e.g., new account openings, payment instructions, client phone call reviews, signing off at the appropriate level of competence); ensure timely clearance of pending items and escalated deficiencies; maintain ethical and compliant behaviour; document client interactions accurately in the relevant tool (e.g., CRM, DiAS). Qualifications Team player with situational adaptability, excellent risk awareness, a friendly, trustworthy and discreet personality, and a passion for client service. Professional skills: sound understanding of the geographic market(s) covered, familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment, cultural awareness, knowledge of private banking products and services, and basic knowledge of global financial markets and industry developments. Education and experience: relevant educational background (bank apprenticeship or equivalent) and professional experience in the financial industry. Language skills: good verbal and written skills according to market requirements. Proven track record in servicing banking clients with complex needs, including onboarding new clients and extending current relationships.
