At Julius Baer, the Legal Wealth Management team plays a central role in enabling the development, structuring, and successful distribution of Julius Baer’s investment solutions. The team provides legal advice to the Bank’s business units, intermediaries, and relationship managers on cross-border market access, product development and distribution, ensuring growth aligns with legal and regulatory requirements. Your Challenge
Advise on cross-border regulatory requirements affecting market access, including licensing, passporting, and local product registration regimes. Support the Risk Type Owner Cross-Border through legal analysis and contribution to risk assessments, controls, and governance frameworks. Develop and maintain group-level policies and country guidelines and product offering guidelines for cross-border distribution. Coordinate with external legal counsel across jurisdictions to assess admissibility and compliance of activities abroad. Monitor relevant legal and regulatory changes and translate them into actionable steps for the business. Participate in strategic projects and internal committees requiring deep legal/regulatory expertise in private banking contexts. Deliver clear, practical guidance and training materials tailored to diverse stakeholder needs. Your Profile
Master’s degree in Law; admission to the bar in Switzerland or an EU country is an asset. 4–6 years of professional experience in financial services law, ideally gained in a top-tier law firm or bank. Solid understanding of banking and financial services regulations (e.g. MiFID II, FinSA/FinIA). Demonstrated interest and capability in addressing multi-jurisdictional legal challenges. Structured, solution-oriented, and able to bridge legal analysis with business realities. Exceptional communication skills in English (written and spoken); German is an asset. Proactive, collaborative, and capable of driving outcomes in matrixed environments.
