To further strengthen our First Line of Defence (1LoD) risk framework, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Business Risk Manager to join our team.
The position reports directly to the Head of Business Risk Management based in Zurich and plays a key role in supporting the bank’s operational risk, control, governance, and regulatory oversight activities across the organisation.
Your Responsibilities Risk & Control Activities
Perform and support 1LoD controls
Monitor control effectiveness and support remediation of identified weaknesses.
Assist in identifying, assessing, escalating, and documenting operational, compliance, conduct, reputational, and client-related risks.
Support incident management processes, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
Client & AML Risk Oversight
Review KYC documentation, onboarding files, and higher-risk client cases together with Relationship Managers and relevant stakeholders.
Support the assessment of client activities against the bank’s Risk Appetite Framework and internal policies.
Contribute to AML/KYC remediation exercises and client review initiatives.
Governance & Regulatory Coordination
Support preparation and coordination for internal audits, external audits, and regulatory reviews.
Contribute to the enhancement of internal procedures, controls, and operational processes.
Reporting & Data Analysis
Prepare risk reports, presentations, statistics, and management information for senior stakeholders.
Support monitoring activities and perform data analysis related to risk and control topics.
Training & Risk Culture
Promote strong risk awareness and support a sound risk culture within the First Line of Defence.
Participate in risk and compliance training initiatives across the organisation.
Act as a trusted partner to front office and support teams on risk-related matters.
Your Profile
University degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.
Several years of experience in Business Risk Management, Operational Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, or a similar control function within the Swiss banking industry.
Good understanding of Swiss banking regulations, AML/KYC standards, FINMA expectations, and the Three Lines of Defence framework.
Experience within Private Banking and exposure to client-related risk topics is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Excellent organisational and communication skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgement.
Language Requirements
Fluent English is mandatory.
Fluency in either German or French is required.
Italian is considered a strong advantage.
