What will you do?
As the Deputy Hotel Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the operational success of Barceló Dresden Newa, supporting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences and achieve business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
* Assist the General Manager in the overall management and daily operations of the hotel, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate departmental heads and their teams to ensure high performance and adherence to Barceló brand standards.
* Oversee guest satisfaction initiatives, handling guest complaints and feedback effectively to maintain high service quality.
* Implement and monitor operational procedures, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
* Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control activities to optimize profitability.
* Support the General Manager in strategic planning, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
* Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
* Act as a point of contact for guests and staff in the absence of the General Manager.
* Ensure the smooth operation of all hotel systems and facilities.
* Contribute to the development and execution of marketing and sales strategies.
What are we looking for?
* Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, preferably within a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment.
* Proven track record in managing multiple departments and achieving operational excellence.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a guest-centric approach.
* Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken. Additional language skills are a plus.
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
* Demonstrated financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control.
* Understanding of local market trends and competitor analysis.
