We are supporting an established Insurance company looking to hire a Team Lead IT Vendor Management within its IT Governance function. This is a senior leadership position responsible for developing the organisation’s IT vendor strategy, managing its external technology provider portfolio and ensuring effective governance across the complete vendor lifecycle.
You will lead and develop the IT Vendor Management team, taking responsibility for the strategic and operational management of external IT service providers. This will include vendor performance and risk management, contract negotiations, outsourcing and sourcing governance, KPI management and regulatory compliance. You will establish effective governance structures and ensure third-party technology risks, including those relating to Cloud and IT Security, are appropriately identified and managed. The role will work closely with IT, IT Risk, Compliance, Legal, Procurement and Audit and position Vendor Management as a key part of the wider IT Governance framework.
The successful candidate will have strong experience across IT Vendor Management, IT Procurement, IT Outsourcing/Sourcing or Technology Contract Management, alongside previous leadership experience. You should have a good understanding of IT contracts, audit and control rights, outsourcing requirements, Cloud services, IT Security and third-party technology risk. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards including DORA and ISO 27001 is highly desirable, particularly within Insurance or another regulated industry.
