Head of Procurement

We are excited to be partnering with a very impressive well-established medical equipment manufacturing company.

Due to the growth of the business, they have had a brand new opportunity that has come up for their team in Germany. The position is for a Head of Procurement on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented leader with strong knowledge of purchasing processes and the medical equipment manufacturing industry. The company thrives due to its strong cultural foundation and its strive for greatness.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage strategic sourcing processes incl. RFx.
2. Active supplier management, especially in establishing and developing supplier relationships.
3. Obtaining and evaluating offers, as well as negotiating purchasing and procurement conditions and contracts with suppliers in consultation with strategic purchasing and production planning.
4. Optimization of coordination with the production plants as part of the regular S&OP and foster collaboration with R&D and Production.
5. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify emerging risks and develop mitigation plans e.g. dual sourcing.
6. Management and maintenance of purchasing/procurement data and documents.
7. Leading the supply chain and procurement team.
8. Establishing, implementing, and further developing the international supply chain setup by creating more efficient E2E processes.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in sourcing/procurement/purchasing.
2. Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP software, strong knowledge of Excel.
3. Ability to interact with suppliers, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
4. Fluent in German & English.
