This role is responsible for optimizing cost, mitigating risk, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance while maintaining Barry Callebaut's quality standards. The position leads a global organization of approximately 100 colleagues through 10 direct reports and collaborates closely with senior stakeholders across the business. /p /brh3Key Responsibilities Include /h3 /brpLead the global sourcing and purchasing operations for indirect spend categories, ensuring financial and operational objectives are achieved /p /brpIdentify business objectives and link them to supplier capabilities /p /brul /brliDevelop and execute a global indirect procurement strategy that optimizes cost, mitigates risk, and delivers sustainable business value /li /brliDrive strategic sourcing initiatives through the consistent application of sourcing best practices and methodologies /li /br /ul /brpDeliver sourcing commitments by identifying, developing, and implementing value-generating procurement projects /p /brpDevelop and continuously improve harmonized procurement processes, tools, templates, KPIs, and organizational design /p /brul /brliIdentify new purchasing opportunities and savings strategies across indirect spend categories /li /brliNegotiate favorable commercial and contractual terms with suppliers to maximize value for the business /li /br /ul /brpBuild strong partnerships with key business stakeholders to jointly deliver business objectives /p /brul /brliLeverage technology and digital solutions to enhance sourcing effectiveness and procurement performance /li /br /ul /brh3About You /h3 /brul /brliBachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, or a related field is required /li /brliMaster's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred /li /brliAt least 10 years of procurement experience within an FMCG / Manufacturing based industry /li /br /ul /brpMinimum 5 years of experience leading a complex Regional and / or Global procurement function /p /brul /brliIn-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and strategic sourcing methodologies /li /br /ul /brul /brliExperience managing multiple indirect spend categories such as Logistics, Energy, Packaging, CapEx, and Professional Services is preferred /li /brliStrong negotiation, influencing, stakeholder management, and strategy development skills /li /brliDemonstrated analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration capabilities /li /brliA leadership style that promotes teamwork, innovation, inclusion, accountability, and high ethical standards /li /br /ul /brpWillingness to travel internationally approximately 15% of the time /p /brul /brliFluency in English is required /li /br /ul /brpAt Barry Callebaut, we are committed to Diversity Inclusion.
