Senior License Manager – Global Software License Management (m/f/d)
We as Global Digital Services enable BASF’s digitalization. In agile teams, we develop innovative digital solutions for BASF and its customers, create new exciting customer experiences and business growth, and drive efficiencies in processes. We provide IT that works and offer know-how and access to latest technologies in the areas of cloud computing, blockchain or big data.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The Team GDD/FB Global Software License Management ensures contractual compliance of software with a global scope based on BASF business demands. By continuously measuring software usage we ensure sustainability of software license contracts concerning applied license metrics and adapt them to BASF requirements.
- You are managing the license contracts in your responsible area proactively in terms of ensuring compliance, taking pro-active measures, optimizing licenses and metrics, generating compliance reports and supporting external as well as internal audits.
- You are the key contact for the license products TOP provider and responsible for managing as well as overseeing the licensing agreements and compliance for software products within the organization conditions.
- You are responsible for creating necessary reports from the license management tools of your area, wherever it is possible you will try to optimize cash out of your products.
- In addition, you support Purchasing & Procurement processes and internal regulatory bodies as well as you are a part of negotiation team with License Product Companies.
- You will be a part of Global License Management Community and managing internal stakeholders who are globally located and have regular communication exchange with them.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- Degree in computer science, informatics, business informatics or in a comparable field with at least 3-5 years working experience in Software License Management.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in State-of-the-art License Metrics and proficiency in Microsoft Tools (Word, Excel, MS-Access, PowerPoint).
- Experience in License Management Tools (Flexera) is preferred.
- Advantageous if you can work with PowerBI/PowerApps.
- Analytical thinking and strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and collaborative working styles.
