WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Our department AP/LC designs, implements, maintains and improves the governance of Compliance @AP. We are a global team, steered centrally from Limburgerhof and focusing on AP Group’s Compliance Management System and part of the corporate governance framework. We focus our resources, time and energy on compliance topics that are key for AP Group and use a planned approach to manage and improve the governance of these topics. We maintain a global Compliance community that supports the department in establishing a culture of compliance and integrity.
- Together with the teams involved, you design and maintain the data protection governance model for Agricultural Solutions, ensuring clear responsibilities, decision-making processes, minimum standards, documentation requirements and a reliable governance calendar.
- You develop appropriate methodologies for data protection risk assessments, control testing, monitoring and thematic reviews, as well as assess the effectiveness and maturity of existing measures.
- Through an independent oversight and advisory role, you consolidate data protection risks, controls, incidents and improvement measures, as well as prepare clear reports on material risks, developments and outstanding actions.
- In close cooperation with internal audit, risk, control and information security functions, as well as the (Group) DPO, you coordinate joint activities and support follow-up through to completion.
- You contribute your perspective to significant digital, AI, data-sharing, M&A, and transformation initiatives and constructively support the management of data protection risks, control concepts, decision-making processes and residual risks.
- In addition, you define quality requirements and framework conditions for data protection impact assessments, records of processing activities, data inventories, data subject rights, data protection incidents, international data transfers, third-party risks and data protection training, while supporting complex or particularly high-risk matters.

WHAT YOU OFFER
- a master's degree in law or compliance / business with an additional legal qualification
- in-depth knowledge of the GDPR and, ideally, other data protection regulations in international organizations
- practical experience with data protection governance, risk assessments, controls, monitoring, audits and measures management
- experience with data protection impact assessments, data subject rights, data breaches, international data transfers and third-party risks
- excellent German and English language skills, proficiency with digital applications and benefitial a relevant data protection certification
- digital mindset and the willingness to see AI as an opportunity to improve processes and ways of working
